  1. On Saturday, I’m attending a workshop titled “Healing Racism: Multicultural Responses in Local Context” in hopes of finding more ways to make my community a more open & embracing one. That’s going to take up much of Saturday. Sunday will be church, putting up Christmas decorations (I prefer to wait until two weekend before Christmas, but The Hubs wants to do it this weekend), watching (American) football, and chores. Somewhere in there I need to get in a workout since I’ve taken a full week off from training. Ideally, I’ll get up early enough Sunday morning to go for a trail run before church. (I live at around 47° North latitude, and it gets dark around 5 p.m. now. I no longer run on pavement, and The Hubs prefer I not go on trail runs in the dark alone. That makes it much harder to get in trail runs during the late fall & winter.)

I’m looking forward for the snow to start building up in our mountains so I can go Nordic skiing. It’s a nice break from running. But winter will come in its own time, and I need to appreciate what the late fall offers.

    And what are you doing?

  2. The hubs and I went to Brooklyn last night to spend time with a few of his childhood friends and their wives. Just a great night with delicious food, incredible company and laughter until we cried. The best kind of tears.
